She records her neighbourhood in often humorous detail, the traffic, motorway signage, houses and domestic details as spied and interpreted by her.  Close observation inspires her paintings whether her city-scapes or her famous portraits and we view these works appreciating her attention to detail and meticulous patterning.  Both her delicate shaded portraits set against intricate patterned wallpapers, surfaces and curtains, and her landscapes and cityscapes, have a curious flat serenity.  The execution of her works give an almost naive atmosphere to her work, reminiscent of the American Gothic genre.  Placement on Rose Tablecloth Acrylic on Board 680x780mm Arrangement with Honesty in Crown Lynn Vase Acrylic on Board  1,110x800mm Nasturtion.
